Here start the holidays. On Sunday we travel far south to begin our adventure down the river Rhein by bike. But for now we are building up our calorie storage in our beloved Ruhrgebiet by the Canal.

Day 2 accomplished 👍🏻Today our route took us mostly along the Rhein with strong headwinds but occasionally we got some rest bite cycling through woods. Tag 3: 100 km von Kehl nach Neupotz… und der Poppes ist arg wund (meiner nicht so… ich sag nur BROOKS Sattel 🤣).Heute führte unser Weg mehr querfeldein, und nicht so viel direkt am Rhein entlang. Wir fuhren durch urige Dörfer und Gegenden, und wir hatten ein tolles Picknick auf einer Apfelbaum Wiese 😃🍎🍏, sooo

David: Day 4: We enjoyed much countryside today and little Rhine as we cut the corners ending up in Ludwigshafen. Today’s stint was shorter but I appreciated that as my bum is really hurting!! I now have some empathy for chimpanzees!!☺️😂 🤣. Also it bought me some time to give the bikes a wash. Nice

Tag 5:60km nach Nierstein, und hier bleiben wir für zwei Nächte. Der Poppes brauch Pause, und wir haben uns gedacht, wir lassen die ersten Gewitter mal an uns vorbei ziehen.
